On the day you will arrive at Knockbracken Reservoir, Carryduff home to Northern Ireland’s only cable
wake boarding site where you will be introduced to the Cable and Wake crew – usually consisting of
some of Ireland’s best wake boarders and Irish Wake Board Team members!
It will then be time to get changed and kitted out with your wetsuit, impact jacket and wake board.
After this there will be a safety briefing and basic instructions before you head out onto the water.
You will start off in beginner mode to get used to the cable system before hopefully progressing. Your
instructor will be on hand at all times throughout the session to provide advice and tips for improvement,
ensuring you get the most out of your time on the water and you have as much fun as possible!
For the more seasoned rider we have two obstacles in place. These include a beginner to intermediate
kicker and a slider.
All sessions are £15 Concessions available for large group bookings.
Swimming kit and a towel. We provide you with a vest and helmet. Wetsuit hire and or board hire is
£5. You might also want to bring a pair of flip flops or old shoes for your walk to and from the activities.
Please use our online booking system to book and pay in advance. When you arrive into the site and
find a parking space, go to the Boathouse on foot to be checked in to your session and get your equipment.
Please allow 30 minutes before the start of your session. We cannot extend your session nor
can we offer you a refund if you are late/ don’t attend.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy, if you cancel within this time you will lose your payment.
The activities are located at Knockbracken Reservoir across the road from the Ivanhoe Hotel on the
Saintfield Rd, Carryduff. Entrance is on Mealough Road.
There is no right turn onto Mealough Road from Saintfield Road. Please use roundabout to come back
down Saintfield Rd and turn left onto Mealough Road only.
Turn left down Mealough Rd then take the first right and you have arrived.
